'I Say A Little Prayer' Added to Score of PROMISES, PROMISES

The song 'I Say A Little Prayer', originally sung by Dionne Warwick,' will be added to the upcoming revival of 'Promises, Promises' starring Kristin Chenoweth and Sean Hayes. The musical features a score by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, who penned 'Prayer' for Warwick. Chenoweth will sing the song during the first act of the show.

PROMISES, PROMISES stars Sean Hayes as Chuck Baxter, Kristin Chenoweth as Fran Kubelik, Tony Goldwyn as J.D. Sheldrake, Tony Award winner Katie Finneran as Marge MacDougall and Tony Award winner Dick Latessa as Dr. Dreyfuss. Beth Williams is the executive producer of PROMISES, PROMISES.??Based on the 1960 Academy Award-winning Billy Wilder film The Apartment that starred Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine, PROMISES, PROMISES tells the story of the Consolidated Life Insurance Company and Chuck Baxter, one of its charming young employees. In an effort to advance at the company, Chuck lends executives his apartment for their extramarital romantic trysts. But things become slightly complicated when Fran Kubelik, the object of Chuck's affection, becomes the mistress of one of his executives.

PROMISES, PROMISES features scenic design by Scott Pask, costume design by Bruce Pask, lighting design by Donald Holder, and sound design by Brian Ronan. Orchestrations are by Jonathan Tunick, with music direction by Phil Reno, and dance music arrangements by David Chase.

The playing schedule for PROMISES, PROMISES is as follows: Monday through Saturday at 8pm, with matinees Saturday at 2pm, with an added 2pm Wednesday matinee on April 14. Beginning Monday April 19, the playing schedule is as follows: Tuesday at 7pm, Wednesday through Saturday at 8pm, with matinees Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 3pm (note the Tuesday, April 20 performance is at 8pm).
