FRIGID New York @ Horse Trade will present a limited engagement of the NYC premiere of Recollection of Innocence written and directed by Guy Kapulnik, tonight, May 28-June 6 at UNDER St. Marks (94 St. Marks Place between 1st Avenue and Avenue A) with performances Thursday through Saturday at 8pm. The production will feature James H. Best, Guy Kapulnik, and Sandra Glinka with Producer Sivan Hadari and Show Image by Lorraine D. Glover. Tickets ($18) may be purchased in advance at www.horseTRADE.info. The performance runs 60 minutes, with no intermission.

Since childhood, Rafi aspired to become a soldier. When he reached the age of 18 he joined the military to serve as an officer. After years of enduring brutal combat, he finally returns to civilian life, but recurring dreams and painful memories battle against his pursuit of a normal life. This tragic comedy explores a challenging and beautiful journey to reclaim one's sense of self through love.

The World Premiere of Recollection Of Innocence will take place on May 14, 2015 at the Orlando International Fringe Festival in Florida.

Guy Kapulnik (Writer/Director) is an award-winning actor, writer and director working internationally. Kapulnik's theatre credits include The Dibuk, adapted for two actors by Bruce Mayer. Bordo (Israel Festival 2008) and Silence not - A love story. His children's theater credits included Simba and The Gruffalo. Film credits includeLebanon (Dir. Shmulik Maoz); Shmor Ali (dir. Mysh Rosanov), received the Iris Prize; Room 514 (dir. Sharon Bar Ziv), a multi award winning film, including the jury's special selection at Tribeca Film Festival, with a worldwide distribution, Salsa Tel Aviv(Dir. Yohanan Weller). TV credits include Cable TV series "Zoo children". Kapulnik co-wrote and performed together with Dutch director Natasha Schulte Are you here (Tel Aviv, Israel and Beloofte Fest, Netherlands 2010). They also collaborated with Dutch actress Laura de Boer, wrote and performed in R U There? directed by Natasha Schulte (Aco Festival 2011, Amsterdam Fringe 2011, Tel Aviv and Leiden, Netherlands). Kapulnik co-wrote with internationally acclaimed award winning playwright Joshua Sobol the play Boycott Shakespeare. Kapulnik directed the original workThe Center for Research and Contemplation, which he co-wrote with playwright Yoav Shutan. (Awarded Spring Festival award 2013 - Tel Aviv). He directed an Argentinian original production Antes De Que Me Desvanezca En El Aire, by Natalia Casielles (Long Distance Affair, Buenos Aires 2013). Kapulnik grew up in Israel and in the United States, and served the mandatory military service in the Israeli Air Force rescue unit, as a commanding officer. He graduated from the Technion with a B.Sc in Information Systems and his theater training included the three-year program at "Nissan Native" theatre school, Jerusalem.

Sivan Hadari (Producer) is an Isramerican Actress, Singer, Publicist, Producer and Television Host. She is a graduate of the prestigious Alon High School for Performing Arts, The Bet Zvi Conservatory, was a member of The Masach Rishon Israeli Theatre Company for five years and attended HB Studios as well as The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. Her NY credits include: The Vagina Monologues, Manhattan Lavender, My Pal Bette, Sex and the Holy Land; part of the 2009 NYC Fringe Festival Encore Series and RECONSTRUCTION with The International WOW Theatre Company, directed by Josh Fox. She has produced commercials for the Israeli Network Channel here in New York and in 2010 alone, co-producer and associate produced the shows NO EXIT, SABRA, A Daughter of Israel, World Extravadanza, J-SLAM: Jewish Storytelling at it's Best and ISRAFEST - an Israeli Music Festival featuring Isramerican bands in collaboration with Rami Kleinstein. Her one woman show, The Emancipation of the Sassy Jewish Woman won the award for BEST SOLO DEBUT at The United Solo Festival at Theatre Row, Off-Broadway. She is presently an onsite reporter, covering the Jewish Cultural scene in New York City for Shalom TV and is serving as Marketing Director for Jason Odell Williams' original play Baltimore in Black and White, directed by Charlotte Cohn.

FRIGID New York is a theater development group with a focus on new work that produces a massive quantity of stimulating downtown theater every season. FRIGID's Resident Artist Program offers a home to a select group of Independent theater artists, pooling together a great deal of talent and energy. FRIGID New York grew out of the annual FRIGID Festival, the first and only festival of its kind in New York City to offer artists 100% of their box office proceeds, and Horse Trade Theater Group, a self-sustaining theater development and management group.
