'Hooray for Broadway'--Featuring Jersey Boys, Pajama Game & Ring of Fire--Airs March 18 & 19

Fox 5 TV and WWOR TV will present "Hooray For Broadway A Spring Celebration," which will air on Fox 5 Saturday, March 18 from 6:30pm-7:30pm, and on WWOR TV Sunday, March 19 from 8:00pm-9:00pm. The one-hour special will feature some of Broadway's hottest shows, including Jersey Boys, The Pajama Game and Ring of Fire.

Jersey Boys is the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. Written by Marshall Brickman & Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff, the show stars John Lloyd Young as Frankie Valli, Daniel Reichard as Bob Gaudio, Christian Hoff as Tommy DeVito and J. Robert Spencer as Nick Massi. Jersey Boys is playing at Broadway's August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street, between Broadway and 8th Avenue).

Ring of Fire, featuring 38 of music legend Johnny Cash's songs such as "Country Boy," "A Thing Called Love," "Five Feet High and Rising," "Daddy Sang Bass," "Ring of Fire," "I Walk the Line," "I've Been Everywhere," "The Man in Black," and his final hit, "Hurt", was created by Tony Award-winner Richard Maltby, Jr. and conceived by William Meade.

"From the heart of the songs of Johnny Cash comes a show about love and faith, struggle and success, rowdiness and redemption. A company of fourteen multi-talented performers takes you into the world Johnny Cash created in his songs." Ring of Fire, directed by Richard Maltby, Jr., with musical direction by Jeff Lisenby and choreography by Lisa Shriver, is playing at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th St.)

Roundabout Theatre Company, by special arrangement with Jeffrey Richards, James Fuld, Jr. and Scott Landis, presents Harry Connick, Jr. (Sid Sorokin), Kelli O'Hara (Babe Williams) and Michael McKean (Hines) in a new Broadway production of the classic musical comedy The Pajama Game, directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall, as part of the Roundabout's 40th anniversary season on Broadway at the American Airlines Theatre (227 West 42nd Street).

The Pajama Game features a book by George Abbott and Richard Bissell based on Bissell's novel 7 ? Cents, and music and lyrics by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross. The book has been adapted for this production by Peter Ackerman. The show, featuring the classic songs "Hey There," "Steam Heat" and "Hernando's Hideaway", is scheduled to run a limited engagement through June 11th, 2006.
