Nationally recognized actor and vocalist Gia Mora announces an east coast tour of her critically acclaimed solo show, Einstein's Girl. The show will play New York City for one night only on Sunday, March 8th at 8:30pm at Cornelia Street Cafe in Greenwich Villiage. Cornelia Street Cafe is located at 29 Cornelia Street, between Bleeker and West 4th Street.

Einstein's Girl explores the "science of love... theoretically speaking." Mora turns her signature wit and intellectual prowess on an unlikely pair of human languages: love and physics. In her hilarious show, she investigates interpersonal relations in the digital age through song and story. Composer and multi-instrumentalist Charlie Barnett will accompany Mora on piano.

Jennifer Ouelette of Scientific American raved, "The Divine Miz Mora's bubbly energy was on full display, along with her impressive four-octave range and an unapologetic sex appeal...a 'wanna-be theoretical physicist.' With a killer set of pipes."

Mora brings a twenty-first century twist to the art of cabaret, combining original music, standards, stand-up comedy, and a crash course in cutting edge science. "I've always loved the intersection of art and science," muses Mora. "This new show aims to tear down fears that mathematics is only for an elite group of academics. Physics is all around us, and learning while laughing makes it all the more memorable." Einstein's Girl will play immediately after Cornelia Street Cafe's popular monthly installment of Entertaining Science where Mora performed in 2014.

Gia Mora is a triple-threat performer and writer. Recent television credits include True Detective, Castle, and the TBS pilot Quality Time. Past solo performances include headlining at Joe's Pub and Metropolitan Room in New York City; Bethesda Blues & Jazz and Blues Alley in Washington, DC; and Room 5 and Vitello's in Los Angeles. A frequent featured soloist, she has appeared at The Kennedy Center, Catalina Jazz Club, and many more. She is signed to Modern Songbook Records and will release her second CD in March 2015. In addition to her work as a performer-writer, Mora is a member of the Scirens (www.Scirens.com)--a collective of science enthusiastic actresses whose quest is to share and discuss science news, advocate for science literacy and inspire scientifically infused entertainment in all forms.
