One of the two Waterfront Theatre School
companies that will perform THE ODD COUPLE

The Waterfront Theatre School will present their graduating class in a production of the female version of Neil Simon's THE ODD COUPLE.

In this hilarious classic comedy, Olive Madison, a slovenly sports presenter who prefers to enjoy the simpler things in life rather than structure and order, hosts a regular girls' night where she and her friends play trivial pursuit, but mostly gossip about their husbands. Olive has the perfect life until her friend Florence Unger arrives at the game having been left by her husband. Florence is an ultra conservative control freak, but Olive nonetheless extends an invitation for Florence to live with her. What follows is the chaos which is caused by two opposing personalities attempting to live together under one roof with hilarious, but disastrous consequences.

Directed by Cheri-Lee Blackie, THE ODD COUPLE features the fourth year drama students in their final performance before graduating from the Waterfront Theatre School. Two casts will perform the play on alternating nights, with Katie Shields and Keren Lindley as Olive, Rebecca Hartle and Tammy de Klerk at Florence and Shari Jacobs and Jessica Engelke as Renee. Shannon Williams (as Sylvie), Andrea Minnaar (as Mickey) and Tamsyn Eddy (as Vera) perform in both casts.

THE ODD COUPLE runs from 25-30th November at 8pm nightly at the Galloway Theatre. Tickets cost R100, while students with a valid student card pay half price. Bookings can be made through the Waterfront Theatre School website.
