Iliana Inocencio, a New York City-based actor and improviser, paves the way for Asian presence in the media as the new host for The People's Improv Theater's first ever, official podcast. Inocencio, along with co-host, RoBert Gilbert, make history and join the ranks of talent at the presitgious People's Improv Theater. Alumni of the theater include Matt Oberg (The Onion News Network), Ellie Kemper (The Office), Kristen Schaal (Flight of the Conchords), and Ali Farahnakian (Saturday Night Live/The People's Improv Theater Founder.)

Inocencio, born to a Singaporean mother and a Filipino father, completed her studies at The People's Improv Theater in long-form comedic improvisation and studies acting at The William Esper Studio. Her active presence in the improv community set her apart from the masses after spearheading the creation of indie improv teams, Day Camp Kids and InvAsian! who both perform regularly at The People's Improv Theater. Her experience with improv and performing allowed her to gain the coveted opportunity to be the first PITCast host. The PITCast serves the New York City improv scene by highlighting and reviewing improv and sketch comedy shows, and interviewing professional improvisers and comedians who perform regularly at the theater.

Thanks to Inocencio's diverse background, this new and charismatic podcast host endows The PITCast with a truly unique and endearing perspective on the ever-growing New York City improv scene.

Released weekly on Wednesdays, The PITCast can be downloaded for free on iTunes by searching for "The PITCast." Up to date news about The PITCast can be found on twitter: www.twitter.com/pitcast and at www.thepit-nyc.com.
