NYC Parks' Manhattan Borough Commissioner William Castro will join NYC Department of Transportation's Manhattan Borough Commissioner Margaret Forgione, President of Marcus Garvey Park Alliance Connie Lee, Vice President of Marcus Garvey Park Alliance Valerie Bradley, and Founder of FLUX Leanne Stella to open an exhibition of public art installations in Harlem on May 3, 2016.

NYC Parks hosts FLUX Public Art Fair, a project that embodies Harlem's creative spirit and cultural significance by bringing together original works from more than 40 groundbreaking artists, 50 percent of whom are women. The works presented in this exhibition respond to the 2016 curatorial theme, "Changing Landscapes". To further amplify this message, FLUX is bringing the "Fair" outside, into the parks and onto the streets encouraging visitors to experience the neighborhood in a different way.

Throughout the month of May, FLUX artists will present performances, large-scale installations, and subtle artist interventions throughout Upper Manhattan, including in Marcus Garvey Park, Eugene McCabe Field, Harlem Art Park, along Fifth and Lenox Avenues, and Harlem Grown farm on 127th Street.

In addition to presenting site-specific installations, FLUX will feature a variety of FREE programs throughout the month of May, including artist meet and greets, artists' talks, and performances. For a list of artists click here: fluxfair.nyc/2016-flux-artists.
