Join the mad, mod world of the Ginghams in Fluff: A Story of Lost Toys, making its New York premiere at The New Victory Theater from April 26 - May 4, 2014. Hailing from Brisbane and produced by Cre8ion, this quirky mix of sound, story and film is an off-the-wall, one-of-a-kind performance for ages five and older.

In Fluff, the Ginghams travel all around the world to discover and recover long-lost misfit toys and bring them into their bright and colorful home. After a quick introduction and a hilarious homage to each toy's life and how they came to be misplaced, every beloved object is given a sound avatar with a matching movement and a nice comfy bed to call their own. Performers Christine Johnston, Lisa O'Neill and Peter Nelson combine their talents, including the experimental use of song, dramatic visual style, vocalizing birdcalls, dance, sound-sampling and their own particular bent on humor to create this very original production.

The show's creator, set and film designer, performance artist Christine Johnston, is a master of the unconventional and arbiter of the offbeat, combining her background in cabaret performance with her knowledge of visual arts. She is also the co-creator and writer for the infamous Australian touring trio "The Kransky Sisters," whose countless awards include a Sydney Theatre Award 2008, Herald Angel Award for Excellence (Edinburgh) 2006, Australian Mo Award 2005, The Age Critics Award, Best Newcomers Award, and Green Room Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2004.

Joining Johnston on stage are frequent collaborators Lisa O'Neill, choreographer, and Peter Nelson, musician, with whom she has toured to The Sydney Opera House and other major venues throughout Australia and New Zealand. Lighting is by Ben Hughes, costumes are by Selene Cochrane, film is by Kylie Burke, Christine Johnston and Russell Stoke, and Leila Maraun is the production stage manager. Fluff was commissioned by the Queensland Performing Arts Centre's Out of the Box Festival.
