Tony Award-nominee Melissa Errico will be honored by the Italian Welfare League as its Woman of the Year.

Errico, along with FDNY Commissioner (and Man of the Year) Nicholas Scoppetta, will receive their awards at the League's Autumn in New York Luncheon and Fashion Show, which will take place at the St. Regis Hotel (2 East 55th St.) on October 14th at 11:30 AM.  The event will benefit "Italian American children in poor health or who've suffered tragic events."

There will be a silent auction, in addition to the lunch and fashion show (featuring the work of Clifford Michael).

Tony-nominated for her work in Amour, Errico has been seen on Broadway in Dracula The Musical, High Society, My Fair Lady, and Anna Karenina. Off-Broadway credits include Aunt Dan and Lemon and Finian's Rainbow, while she has also been seen at Encores! in One Touch of Venus and at the Kennedy Center in Sunday in the Park with George.

Her huminatarian work includes raising funds for Worldwide Orphans.  She also teaches master classes at LaGuardia High School and the Actors Center.
