Governor Andrew Cuomo has recently revealed plans for an overhaul of Penn Station- a move that could end up affecting the performance space within Madison Square Garden.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Cuomo intends to give the much-outdated transportation hub a makeover, bringing more natural light into the dark basement station. The Theater at Madison Square Garden (most recently home to Elf the Musical), which sits above the station, would need to be moved for such a plan to take effect.
