Broadway star Christiane Noll will headline "Strike Up the Band: A Gershwin Brothers Celebration" at the Kennedy Center on November 24th at 1:30 PM and 7 PM and on November 25th at 8 PM.

The Washington, D.C. concerts will feature the National Symphony Orchestra Pops Series, led by Marvin Hamlisch.  In addition to his "Rhapsody in Blue" and "An American in Paris," songs from such Gershwin shows as Strike Up the Band, Girl Crazy and Porgy and Bess will be performed.

Noll will be joined by Kevin Cole on piano and Robert Bonfiglio on harmonica.

Noll made her Broadway debut as Emma Carew in Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse's Jekyll & Hyde. She later joined the Broadway company of It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues and starred in the City Center Encores! production of Out of This World. Noll appeared in the national tours of Grease!, Miss Saigon and City of Angels, and she has recorded three solo albums: "Christiane Noll — A Broadway Love Story" (Varese Sarabande Records), "Live at the Westbank Café," (Car-Jam Records) and "The Ira Gershwin Album" (Fynsworth Alley).  She was part of The Mambo Kings' out-of-town tryout, and was also recently seen in the York Theatre Company's A Fine and Private Place.
