Christian Slater Joins 'The Glass Menagerie' as Tom Replacing Dallas Roberts

Christian Slater will play the role of Tom in Bill Kenwright's new production of the Tennessee Williams' classic The Glass Menagerie, starring Jessica Lange and directed by David Leveaux, at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre. Mr. Slater will replace Dallas Roberts in the production.

Christian Slater, who most recently starred on Broadway in the Tony Award winning play Sideman, received rave reviews from London's theatre critics earlier this fall for his starring performance in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest which played to capacity audiences at the Gielgud Theatre in the West End. His many film credits include Heathers, Pump Up The Volume, Broken Arrow, True Romance, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Windtalkers, Interview With the Vampire, Tucker and The Name of the Rose.

The Glass Menagerie, which also features Sarah Paulson and Josh Lucas, begins previews this Thursday, February 24. Joey Collins will perform the role of Tom until Mr. Slater plays his first performance.

THE GLASS MENAGERIE will be performed Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8pm, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm and Sunday at 3pm. Beginning, Tuesday, March 22 all Tuesday evening performances will begin at 7pm. Please note that there will be an added performance on Monday, March 14 at 8pm in place of the Thursday, March 17 performance.
