The family Christmas classic, Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL, runs November 20-December 13, 2015 in the Young Theatre on Cal State Fullerton's campus. The adaptation is inspired by the 1951 film version, adapted by Department of Theatre and Dance Chair Bruce Goodrich and directed by Jeremy Lewis.

Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL was published in 1843 and it is the first time Cal State Fullerton has produced this holiday favorite featuring Ebenezer Scrooge, Jacob Marley and a host of Christmas ghosts hoping to change Scrooge's greedy ways and show him the true meaning of the holiday season. Author Charles Dickens was born in Portsmouth, England in 1812, became a reporter for a local paper and by the age of twenty-one started publishing humorous short stories. Critically acclaimed for Oliver Twist, Great Expectations and A Tale of Two Cities, he is also known for American Notes for General Circulation, The Chimes, Cricket on the Hearth, Hard Times, and Little Dorrit.

Director Jeremy Lewis is a professional director with an MFA from Cal State Fullerton whose past directing work includes Kiss Me, Kate, The School for Lies, Twelve Angry Jurors and Spain. Assistant directing credits include works at The Eugene O'Neill National Playwrights Conference and The Kennedy Center Playwrights Conference. He recently assistant directed at Ford's Theatre in Washington D.C. aside Jeff Calhoun (director of Newsies on Broadway).

Torres as Ebenezer Scrooge, Monique Magpayo as Poorhouse Woman, Olivia Pence as Mary, Paige Sherman as Ghost of Christmas Past, Ricky Abilez as Mr. Jorkin, Rosie Rodriguez as Fan, Sean Flanagan as Mr. Pepper, Siena Marilyn as Charwoman, Stephanie Smalley as Mrs. Pepper, Zach Yeates as Mr. Fezziwig, and Zachary Guy Gnatek as Bob Cratchit.

Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL plays at 8pm on November 20, 21, December 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12 and at 2pm on November 21, 22, December 5, 6, 12, 13. General admission tickets are $14 ($12 with advance Titan Discount purchase for students, seniors or with a CSUF ID). All tickets are $14 at the door. The first show of Spring, 2016 is The Miracle Worker by William Gibson. This docudrama touches on the volatile relationship between the blind, deaf and mute Helen Keller and her teacher Annie Sullivan. The play premiered on Broadway at the Playhouse Theatre in 1959 and received the Tony Award for Best Play in 1960. The Miracle Worker is directed by Dr. Joseph Arnold and runs February 19-March 13, 2016 in the Hallberg Theatre on campus.
