This summer, California Stage Theater Company will launch its first ever Teen Acting Camp taught by Sacramento actor and director Michael RJ Campbell. Campbell will delve into the basics of acting technique and textual analysis through scene work with students aged 13-17. The two-week day camp experience will culminate in a Friday evening performance where students will share their talents with family and friends!

A beloved local actor, director and teacher, Michael RJ Campbell has appeared on numerous Sacramento stages and beyond. His appearance as Tevye in Berkeley Playhouse's summer production of Fiddler on the Roof comes hot on the heels of his local appearance as the Pirate King in Sacramento Theatre Company's Pirates of Penzance and Mario Scarpoletto in California Stage's critically acclaimed Italian Opera. Assisting him will be local actress Sabrina Fiora McLean, who will also appear at Berkeley Playhouse this summer. Michael and Sabrina are excited to join California Stage this summer in its new venture!

California Stage will hold its Teen Acting Camp Monday thru Friday July 6th-17th 10am-1pm.

Tuition for the camp is $325.00 payable upon registration. Classes will be held in the California Stage Theater at the R25 Arts Center, a three-venue complex located at 1721 25th Street in Midtown Sacramento. Students will perform Friday, July 17th at 8pm in the California Stage Theater. Space is limited and enrollment is open now at calstage.org.
