The Broadway at Birdland concert series announced that jazz vocalist Jane Monheit will be performing new Mary Ann McSweeney arrangements of the Cole Porter classic, Anything Goes on Monday, March 26 at 7pm. Robert Creighton will be Jane's special guest.

Monheit's backup band for the evening includes Mary Ann McSweeney (bassist/arranger), Jim Ridl (pianist), Ted Nash (saxophone), Alvester Garnett (drums).

Jane Monheit's first album,  "Never Never Land," was voted top debut recording for over a year.  Subsequent albums either charted high, or in several cases,  debuted  at  number one,  and  yielded  two Grammy  nominations in  the  Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocals  category.  Monheit has been celebrating the tenth anniversary of her remarkable recording career with her most mature, heartfelt album yet, "Home," a collection of standards that represents a passionate return to her roots as a jazz musician.

Robert Creighton's Broadway credits include Anything Goes, Chicago, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and Jackie Mason's Laughing Room Only.  His new cd, "Ain't We Got Fun," is on the LML Music label.
