The name "American Whiskey" is only part of the story. With over 150 American made whiskey selections, original cocktails, delicious food and great sports viewing, this spot is more than a neighborhood bar; it is perfect for Penn Station commuters, Herald Square shoppers, MSG and the Chelsea neighborhood.

With the real feeling of a lodge, the long bar which has comfortable seating and friendly, prompt service. There are more than 30 monitors so that you can watch your favorite teams in action.

We stopped by on a Thursday night and tried original cocktails created by Jon Howard including his Floral Collins, the Strike me Dead and their popular Giggle Water. But, don't stop with drinks.

The rear lounge and dining areas are relaxing venues where you can enjoy delicious snacks, sandwiches and entrees by Chef Roger Jacobsen. With grown-up Tater Tots, Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, Baby Lamb Chop "Lollypops," their popular Sliders, beef and seafood dishes, these are delicious comfort foods done right.

Bar Manager, Jessica Dure also has a great Happy Hour, every hour from opening to 8:00 pm with a daily $8.00 cocktail special and beers starting at $4.00. There is also generous event space upstairs. American Whiskey is a welcoming spot. It has a shot of southern hospitality combined with excellent food and drink in midtown.
