Australian Musical ONCE WE LIVED HERE to Play Two-Week Engagement at Urban Stages, Begin. 9/13

AUSTRALIAN MADE ENTERTAINMENT has announced the U.S. premiere production of ONCE WE LIVED HERE, with book and lyrics by Dean Bryant, music by Mathew Frank, and directed by Matthew Foster. ONCE WE LIVED HERE will play a two-week limited engagement at Urban Stages (259 W. 30th Street). Performances begin Friday, September 13. Opening Night is Saturday, September 14 (8 p.m.).

Amy runs Emoh Ruo, the family sheep station in outback Australia. She's held onto the property through drought, bushfire, and falling wool prices, determined not to let it slip out of the family grasp. But when the family gathers over a scorching long weekend, Amy has to face up to the myths and lies the place has been built upon. Is she really holding on or is she just stuck?

After a successful first season featuring Cosi and Speaking In Tongues, Australian Made Entertainment is proud to kick off their second season with the U.S. premiere of ONCE WE LIVED HERE, written by the critically acclaimed musical team of Dean Bryant & Mathew Frank. Winner of the 2009 Green Room Award for Best New Musical, this authentically Australian musical was described by Geoffrey Rush as "a beautiful, poignant piece of home-grown music theatre. It may echo Chekhov and Sondheim but it's thrillingly pure Oz."

The production stars Kathleen Foster as Amy, Morgan Cowling as Lecy, Adam Rennie as Shaun, Sean Cleary as Burke, and Renee Claire Bergeron as Claire.

The production features musical direction by Michael Hopewell, scenic design by Katherine DeNeve, and costume design by Emily Rose Parman. Anna Demenkoff is the stage manager.

ONCE WE LIVED HERE plays the following regular schedule through Sunday, September 29:
Wednesdays at 8 p.m.
Thursdays at 8 p.m.
Fridays at 8 p.m.
Saturdays at 8 p.m.
Sundays at 2 p.m.
