Aisha Tyler, Greg Proops, & Matt Braugner Set for Empire Comedy Live this Fall

Empire Comedy Live is proud to present three hilarious comedians this fall including Aisha Tyler (Archer, Whose Line is it Anyway?, The Talk), GREG PROOPS(Whose Line is it Anyway?) and MATT BRAUGNER (NBC's Up All Night, The Tonight Show, Letterman, Conan), while the $1000 Finals of the 2013 Toronto Comedy Brawl have finally arrived!

On Friday, October 18 Empire Comedy Live will present stand-up performances by comedian, actor and author Aisha Tyler at The Royal Theatre. By popular demand, a second show has been added at 10:30pm! Aisha is a veteran of the stand up world and is co-host of Global's The Talk each day, the new host of Whose Line is it Anyway?, and the voice of super spy Lana Kane on Teletoon's hit series Archer. Her NY Times best-selling new book Self Inflicted Wounds (Harper Collins) is a series of comic essays about epic mistakes and crushing personal humiliation, and the personal insights and authentic wisdom she gathered along the way. The book is based on a recurring element of her award-winning podcast, Girl on Guy, chosen by iTunes as a best new comedy podcast of 2011.

Empire Comedy Live will also present GREG PROOPS for four shows October 6-8 throughout the GTA, including two live recordings of his popular "Proopcast" The Smartest Man in the World. GREG PROOPS is a veteran improviser and stand-up comedian, best known for his role on Whose Line is it Anyway?

On November 16, Empire Comedy Live will present stand up comedian MATT BRAUGNER at Comedy Bar. MATT BRAUGNER is a regular round table guest onChelsea Lately, has made multiple appearances at the Just For Laughs festivals in both Montreal and Chicago and was a series regular on MadTV. Braunger has also performed as a stand up on CONAN, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show, and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

The 5th Annual Toronto Comedy Brawl finals will take place Thursday, October 17 at 918 Bathurst Culture & Events Centre, with eight amateur comics battling it out for the $1000 grand prize! 300 stand-up comedians competed throughout the summer with Aisha Alfa, Bobby Knauff (2012 Comedy Brawl champion), Dave Atkinson, DJ Demers, Foad HP, Joe Vu, Sarah Monahan and Simon Le Fave advancing to the finals.

Founded in 2008 by Ian Atlas, Empire Comedy Live seeks to share the most exciting and engaging comics possible with great audiences in Toronto and beyond. Past performers include: Janeane Garofalo, Chris Hardwick, Jen Kirkman, Greg Behrendt, Brian Posehn, The Sklar Brothers, Jimmy Pardo and more.
