In their most successful year yet- 45 Actors and Artists Unite to end Alzheimer's teams walked from Vermont to Florida- from New York to San Francisco and from Chicago to Texas to raise over $45,000 for the Walk to end Alzheimer's sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association.

"It was truly amazing," marveled Nancy Daly, Founder and National Team Captain of AA Unite. "Every week another team would come back or a new team would join. We had our first team in Alabama- Faye's Faithful's; new teams in Dallas, TX- For Her; St. Charles, MO- Team Ann and Carrie; Clearwater, FL- Team Doris; Victor Competiello in New York City; Reasons to be Happy in Santa Monica, CA; our very first AA Unite team in Nashville, TN all raise hundreds of dollars their first year. Our wonderful Feerick/Davis team walked for their fourth year on Long Island and raised over $500. We had an incredible team on the Gulf Coast of Florida- Actors Against Alzheimer's- led by the lovely Ellen Kleinschmidt- raise almost $13,000 through their walk team and cabarets to honor her beloved mother. 45 teams nationwide- we were walking in glory.

For me, one of the most touching and eloquent stories of this year was how many of our AA Unite teams- especially in Studio City, CA; Miami, FL; Washington DC and NYC raised over $20,000 in honor and in loving memory of one of our greatest supporters, Ken Howard. His lovely wife, Linda Howard, joined us in September as we walked to honor a gifted actor, dedicated union leader and a very caring and wonderful man. We did you proud, Prez!

It is one of the greatest joys and honors of my life to lead this team. Every weekend from September through November, I get pictures and videos of teams around the country joining together to walk for a cure for Alzheimer's. I'm out there at 6 AM hiking in solidarity with them in LA every Saturday and Sunday as my phone rings with pictures of the most dedicated, caring and courageous people I have ever known.

AA Unite is the only non-corporate national team for the Walk to end Alzheimer's. A national team of artists who walk year after year for a world without Alzheimer's. Many of them met on this team and are now close friends who grieve as each year a member of our team must carry a purple flower of remembrance as their loved one has passed away from Alzheimer's. We are a team. We take care of our own and every member of this team is a true champion.

Come join us. Come walk with us- all are welcome. Anyone can start or join an AA Unite team in any city that has a Walk to end Alzheimer's. We would love to have you walk with us!

"When actors and artists unite- the world can shift! And it has!
