AWA Partners to Expand to Create Broadway Booking Agency

AWA Partners has just announced that they are joining forces with OBB/Off Broadway Booking to expand operations as a full-service agency. The new company will operate under the banner of AWA Partners and provide tour direction and booking for attractions spanning from multi-week national tours to single night performances, domestically and internationally, and in venues ranging from performing arts centers of all sizes to arenas and clubs. Partners in the newly expanded company will be L. Glenn Poppleton, Alison Spiriti and Orin Wolf. L. Glenn Poppleton will serve as president of the agency. Alan Wasser and Allan Williams will continue as founding partners in the company.

Joining the AWA Partners team from OBB are VP of Booking, Glenn White, and booking agent Jalaina Ross. Nicole Hatcher, Chanelle Dompig and Shannon Hucker will continue with their positions in Operations.

From AWA Partners, Robin Mishik-Jett, Vice President, along with Sean Mackey, Director of Operations/Business Affairs and Jessica Francis, Operations Manager, will also continue in their present positions.

OBB/Off Broadway Booking was established in 2005 as a booking agency dedicated to the promotion and awareness of Off Broadway as a brand of excellence in theater to audiences outside of New York City. Since that time, OBB has grown into a full-service booking agency placing musicals, special events and award-winning solo shows in theaters across the country.

OBB is uniquely committed to creating economically viable quality touring productions able to accommodate hundreds of small and mid-size markets, while still providing Broadway level programming to the larger markets. Current Productions at OBB include I Love Lucy-Live on Stage, Fiddler on the Roof, Hair, The Improvised Shakespeare Company, Celebrity Autobiography, Seth's Big Fat Broadway Show, Sing-a-Long Sound of Music and Grease, For the Record: John Hughes in Concert, The Aluminum Show, among many others. Producing partners include Will Prather (Prather Entertainment Group) and John Styles (StylesFour Productions).
