A Class Act NY Announces Upcoming Classes and Workshops, Fall 2012

A Class Act NY has announced its upcoming fall 2012 classes and workshops at Ripley-Grier Studios, located at 520 8th Ave, including a "Broadway Bound" class, a "Magical Musical Theatre Class" a musical theatre audition technique class, and TV workshops. Full details below!

8-Week Broadway Bound Class with a Broadway Actor

This class is open to all skill levels. Work with a Broadway actor onsongs and dance combinationsfrom your favorite Broadway hits. Then, perform in a recital for family, friends and a few agents.

When: Saturdays, Sept. 22, 29; Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27; and Nov. 3, 10. (Recital is Nov. 10)
Time: 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Ages: 7 - 16 *Split up according to age

8-Week Magical Musical Theatre Class for 5 - 6 Year Olds

This class is open to all skill levels. Introduce your child to the magic of the performing arts. A Broadway Actor works on song and dance combinations from Broadway hits as well asimprovisation in which kids learn complex terms in a fun way. The class culminates in a recital forfamily, friends and a few agents.

When: Saturdays, Sept. 22, 29; Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27; and Nov. 3, 10 (Recital is Nov. 10)

6-Week Musical Theatre Audition Technique Class with Binder Casting's Jason Styres

This class is open to all skill levels. Work with a Broadway Casting Director, Jason Styres of Binder Casting (Nice Work if You Can Get It, Lion King, White Christmas, etc.) and a Music Director on propermusical theater audition technique in this six week class. Receive one-on-one training and learn how to nail auditions. Whether you're looking to go pro or you just want to hone your audition skills, this is a great way to learn proper technique and to improve your presentation. The class culminates in a recital for family, friends and a few agents.

When: Sundays, Sept. 23, 30; Oct. 7, 14, 21, 28

NBC Casting's, Jandiz Estrada Teaches T.V. Workshop

This workshop is open to all skill levels. Work with NBC Casting's, Jandiz Estrada, who works on television pilots and series regulars. Whether you're looking to go pro or you just want to work on fun television scenes in an educational environment, this class is for you. Jandiz is always scouting for new talent.

- Scene work & technique
- Proper audition protocol for television shows

Casting Director, Alison Franck Teaches T.V. Workshop
