A CHRISTMAS STORY Cast to Reunite for Tony Awards Performance!

Company members from A Christmas Story, The Musical will reunite for their appearance on the Tony Awards telecast on CBS. The cast will travel from various corners of the country and the world including Dan Lauria from Los Angeles, Johnny Rabe from Chicago, Caroline O'Connor from Australia, and Broadway's favorite four-foot tap dancing whiz kid, Luke Spring, from Ashburn, Virginia.

"We were all thrilled when we received our three Tony nominations earlier this month and we are very excited to be a part of the big telecast on CBS on June 9th," says producer Gerald Goehring. "Of course we can't say just yet what we will perform at Radio City next month. But I can tell you that our A Christmas Story, The Musical family is thrilled to be together again for The Tony Awards. One of our ensemble members is even flying out of Alaska to be a part of Broadway's big night!"

Nominated for three 2013 Tony Awards (Best Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Book of a Musical), America's #1 Christmas movie came to life for the 2012 holiday season at Broadway's Lunt Fontanne Theatre as a hilarious holiday musical featuring a bright, nostalgic score by composer/lyricist team Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and a book by Joseph Robinette based on the writings of radio humorist Jean Shepherd and the 1983 holiday film favorite. Tony Award winner John Rando (Urinetown) directed the production with Warren Carlyle(Chaplin, The Mystery of Edwin Drood) choreographing.

A Christmas Story, The Musical was both a popular and critical success, breaking house records at The Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The story from a cherished movie classic that's enchanted millions is now a musical spectacular. In 1940's Indiana, a bespectacled boy named Ralphie has a big imagination and one wish for Christmas-a Red Ryder BB Gun. A kooky leg lamp, outrageous pink bunny pajamas, a cranky department store Santa, and a triple-dog-dare to lick a freezing flagpole are just a few of the obstacles that stand between Ralphie and his Christmas dream.
