Opening Thursday, December 3 and running through December 20, The Larry Keeton Theatre presents the Middle Tennessee premiere of A 1940s Radio Christmas Carol - from the writers and composers of Disney's successful High School Musical - the long-awaited sequel to The 1940s Radio Hour, one of the most popular musical revues among regional and community theater companies.

The Keeton Theatre's cast includes Ava Troy, Melissa Husebo, Donna Driver, Bryan Lelek, Dan Childers, Crystal Kurek, Kevin Driver, Jason Scott, Elliott Robinson, Austin Reeves and Riley Bolton.

A 1940s Radio Christmas Carol is described as a nostalgic trip back to the days of live radio broadcasts featuring comedy and drama, peppered with holiday musical favorites plus new songs in the swing style: "It's Christmas Eve 1943, at WOV-Radio Satellite Studio in Newark, New Jersey. Economic hardships of WWII find The Feddington Players broadcasting from a hole-in-the-wall studio, on the lobby level of the Hotel Aberdeen. Noisy plumbing, missed cues, electrical blackouts, and over-the-top theatrics propel their contemporary "take" on Dickens' A Christmas Carol to a simultaneously comedic and heart-wrenching dramatic climax. An entertaining excursion into the mayhem and madness of a live radio show A 1940's Radio Christmas Carol will sing its way into your heart."

Dinner seating for the holiday meal begins at 5:45 p.m., with curtain at 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday nights, and seating at 12:45 p.m. with curtain at 2 p.m. on Sunday matinees. Dinner/Show tickets are $21 for children 12 and under, $30 ages 13 to adults. Call (615-) 883-8375 or visit www.thelarrykeetontheatre.org.
