21st Annual Performing Arts Event Shines a Spotlight on Performers from the Global Stage

Singers, dancers, actors, models, and instrumentalists will compete at the 21st Annual World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) July 1 - 9, 2017 in Long Beach, California. This international meet is often cited as the official "Talent Olympics"for performers and is the only event of its kind!

Performers are selected from the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, Asia and South Africa. Contestants from over 60 countries will be vying for the gold with more than a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships and prizes from New York Conservatory, New York Film Academy, Millennium Dance Complex, LA Models, Oleg Cassini, Indasoul Records and CSM Words/Music, to name a few...

Saturday, July 1, the week of events kicks-off with WORLDSTARS Boot Camp, 22 workshops presented by top industry experts such as Amy Morgan professional dancer/choreographer who has worked with many celebrities including Beyoncé, appeared on Yahoo's new series "Sin City Saints" and performed at the MTV Video Music Awards... Jeff Weber, Weberworks Music, has produced over 180 CDs including two Grammy Award Winners, seven Grammy nominations and two number one albums...Darienne Arnold appeared in Vogue, Marie Claire, Mirabella and Harper's Bazaar magazines and graced runways from Japan to the runways of Paris.

Sunday, July 2 at 6 pm, Long Beach Performing Arts Center Plaza, 300 E Ocean BL, Long Beach, CA 90802, the public is invited to the spectacular Opening Ceremonies/Parade of Nations with hundreds of contestants parading and performing in colorful, traditional costumes from around the world.

Friday, July 7, the 2017 Grand Finale Show will be held at the Terrace Theatre in the Long Beach Performing Arts Center. The pre-show starts at 6:30 pm, followed by the 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm live show and webcast. Final Night Judges include Troy Laureta WCOPA 1998 multi-medalist now award-winning musical director/keyboardist/arranger for Ariana Grande...Pierre Parisien, Senior Director of Cirque du Soleil Resident Shows Las Vegas...LA Models' top runway agent in America, Crista Clayman whose exclusive clients include Gucci, Chanel, Christian Dior and Louis Vitton.

In addition to the world class contenders selected from 60 countries vying for Championship titles, the event will feature a performance by the 2016 Grand Champions JNS Dance Crew.

NO LATE SEATING!Patrons may not bring backpacks, large purses or large bags of any kind into the venue. Event organizers reserve the right to check any items being brought into the Performing Arts Center. Parking ($15) is available at the facility in both garages. (Accessible Parking is available.)
