The Shakespeare at The William Hotel on East 39th Street is a top British gastropub and restaurant. And now, they are presenting their "Much Ado About Nothing" Happy Hour on summer Fridays. It is held in their Garden Terrace, the beautifully decorated outdoor patio. It is a pleasant retreat from the hustle and bustle of the area and perfect for relaxing at the end of the work week. This late afternoon special is from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm every Friday and will continue through September 1st.

The Happy Hour features refreshing British inspired cocktails and delicious sharable plates from Head Chef Simon Townsend. We stopped by last Friday and thoroughly enjoyed the charming atmosphere along with wonderful food and drink.

Signature cocktails are $9.00 each and feature fine spirits like Chapel Down, Chase Marmalade Vodka, Brockmans Gin, Jura Whisky, Pimm's, Cotswolds and more. Their inventive "Earl Grey 75" is made with Brockman's fin, Earl Grey tea syrup, fresh lemon juice topped with Chapel Down British Fizz. And the "Paddington Mule" is a great blend of Chase Marmalade Vodka, orange marmalade, lemon juice and ginger beer. For those that prefer, all bottle beers are $5 and there's a nice selection of wine. Pair your drinks with tempting menu items that include their Avocado Toast, Oysters, Tomato on Toast or a British Cheese Board.

The Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" Friday Happy Hour in the Garden Terrace is a great way to wind down and welcome the weekend.

The Shakespeare at The William Hotel is located at 24 East 39th Street (between Madison and Park Avenue South) New York, NY 10016. The Garden Terrace is located upstairs. Call them at 646.837.6779 and visit their web site at www.theshakespearenyc.com.
