Following the release of her critically-acclaimed debut album Rift and her sold out debut headline tour, Clara Mann returns to London to play our very own Elgar Room. Influenced by artists like Jacques Brel, Judee Sill, and Tom Waits, Mann has a deep love and care for songwriting. Her approach to songwriting is not one of purging emotions but rather of composting them - digesting life’s experiences and cultivating them into something meaningful, tangible, hopeful. For Mann, Rift is a tangible expression of her entire world - a snow globe raised in her palms, in all its layers and complexities, not shying away from the painful experiences of life but embracing them as essential to the human experience and as part of our tapestry. For this performance she will be joined by friends to share songs from Rift and her back catalogue, as well as early glimpses of the new.
