Multi-award-winning artist Amity has attracted widespread critical acclaim since 2022, when his debut at just fifteen years of age was lauded in The Guardian. By sixteen, Amity was the Royal Albert Hall’s official Future Maker artist and resident artist at Soho’s iconic Spice of Life. Following sold out shows from London to Durham in 2024, his Royal Albert Hall show Bite Me! celebrates a series of releases making up the launch of Amity’s outspoken debut EP, also backed by support from the Royal Albert Hall. Featuring Amity’s distinctive powerhouse, soulful vocals - dubbed “miraculous” and “stunning” by The Guardian and BBC Radio - and rich, hard-hitting lyricism, Bite Me! sets out Amity’s stall as an “artist of our time” (ASBO Magazine). Queer, autistic, and transgender, Amity is already on a journey few can easily imagine; Amity uses his art to speak up, ask questions and shine a light on difficult subjects. Showcasing the “uncanny beauty” of his “exceptional songwriting” (ASBO Magazine), Amity’s piano-led soundscapes will be brought to life in the Elgar Room, energised by his vibrant band, while Jessica Diamond’s evocative violin will accentuate the poignancy of his more reflective work. Underpinning the uplifting energy of his musically-textured live show is a tangible undercurrent of defiance and rebellion. Amity is an unconventional artist with a lot to say.
