West-End star Ramin Karimloo is in final negotiations for a new record deal.

Speculation has been arising for months over Karimloo's reasons for departure of Love Never Dies, after he cited "busy schedule" and "new projects", and after confirmation today that he will stay with Love Never Dies but on a restricted schedule, he also confirmed that he will be indeed going into the studio.

The only thing remaining unconfirmed is whether this recording venture will be solo or with his rock-band "The Sheytoons".

This guy has an amazing voice, was great in Love Never Dies when I saw it last month, but for the record...

Worst name for a rock band...ever!

Shytoons arnt a rock band, Indie-Folk with maybe a hint of rock. Sheytoons is an Iranian word and something to do with the devil I think.

Their youtube site http://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialSheytoons

Pretty sure his record deal is solo, this is his performance at the WOS Awards

...it still sounds silly...

...like 'spoink'...

...or 'bamboozle'...

...or karimloo, interestingly...

...there's a possibility that I'm being racist, because thats probably iranian as well...

Love his voice! I bought his CD when I saw him on tour in Miss Saigon.

Quite like the Sheytoons stuff but I'd prefer a solo effort.

Is Ramin's voice/performance worth seeing LND for? this is a debate I've been having with myself since it opened!
Maybe I'm on nobody's side http://phdconfessions.blogspot.com/

"Is Ramin's voice/performance worth seeing LND for?"

It's the ONLY thing worth seeing LND for lol. Seriously, Ramin is fantastic and you should not miss his performance - it's worth suffering through the show for. And Till I Hear You Sing IS a great song - probably one of ALW's best ever.

It'd be worth seeing Love Never Dies even if Nick Jonas was playing The Phantom!

But seriously, Karimloo is PHENOMENAL in it - his vocals are simply perfect. Go see!
