In Conversation with Christopher Chen is a free pre-show Q&A event presented by HEART: DMV AAPI Theatre Alliance and Arena Stage, centered on the experiences of AANHPI theatre makers. Playwright Christopher Chen discusses his creative process and how contemporary AAPI voices are reshaping the stage. The conversation will be moderated by Wonnie Kim, Artistic Producing Lead and Co-Founder of HEART: DMV AAPI Theatre Alliance, and is held in conjunction with The Motion, running May 6 – June 14, 2026, on Arena Stage's Fichandler Stage.
