In this recital with piano maestro Lester Green (recently seen accompanying mezzo-soprano J'Nai Bridges in our Home Delivery Plus 2021 online series), Tines grounds his program in the ordinarium of the Roman Catholic MassKyrie, Gloria, Credo, Sanctus, Benedictus, and Agnus Deijuxtaposing the music of Bach with contemporary settings by Caroline Shaw, Tyshawn Sorey, and others, and drawing on the traditions of art song, spirituals, and gospel.
