Eric Schaeffer, Artistic Director of the Tony Award®-winning Signature Theatre announced today that Really Really, the 'Generation Me' tragic comedy, has become the biggest selling world premiere play in the Theatre's 22-year history. Written by promising young playwright Paul Downs Colaizzo, Really Really has also become the best-selling production in the history of the ARK Theatre, one of Signature's two theaters.

"We are thrilled that audiences of all ages have responded with so much enthusiasm to this intelligent and daring new work," Schaeffer stated, "The play has garnered deep discussions that have kept audiences talking for weeks. It's wonderful when theatre moves people in this way."

Directed by Signature's Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner (Art, [title of show]), Really Really is a contemporary drama that pushes The Edges and embraces the harsh realities of the "Me" Generation. At an elite university, when the party of the year ends in the regret of a lifetime, one person will stop at nothing to salvage a future that is suddenly slipping away – and it is now every man for himself. The provocative new play features a young cast that includes Paul James (TV's Greek), Kim Rosen (Ideal at 59E59 Off-Broadway), Bethany Anne Lind (Carapace and 26 Miles at ALLIANCE THEATRE), Danny Gavigan (Pride and Prejudice at Round House Theatre), Lauren Culpepper (Crime and Punishment at Centerstage), Evan Casey (Signature's The Hollow and The Boy Detective Fails), and Jake Odmark (Signature's Sunset Boulevard).

Maggie Boland, Signature Theatre's Managing Director, stated, "Signature is so proud to be home to this riveting new play and to introduce Paul Downs Colaizzo to the DC audience. It is always a tremendous risk to mount world premiere works – which makes it all the more gratifying when audiences respond. When you have more than 90% of the seats filled on a nightly basis, it reinforces for all of us why we do what we do." Really Really contains strong language and explicit situations. For mature audiences only.

Performances of Really Really run through March 25, 2012.  Showtimes are Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7:30 pm, Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 pm, Saturdays at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm, and Sundays at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm.

Full price tickets begin at $56 and are available by calling Ticketmaster at 703-573-SEAT (7328) or visiting www.signature-theatre.org
