After appearing together nationwide in symphony concerts and being paired as co-stars in two hit New York productions - first, Stephen Sondheim's dark and emotional Passion at Classic Stage Company, followed by Yip Harburg & Burton Lane's delicious and politically-edged fairy tale Finian's Rainbow at Irish Repertory Theatre, Melissa Errico and Ryan Silverman just offered their first duo show together at Feinstein's/54 Below, "Broadway Romance" which played to sold-out crowds last week on August 6 & 7.

Ryan and Melissa revel in their differences - his casual Canadian charm mixed with great baritone vocal strength, and her Manhattanite, quirky warmth and ebullience in the form of an exquisite lyric soprano. Together they crafted this special full-length concert evening for Feinstein's/54 Below which featured an eclectic mix of solos and duets from Broadway and beyond. Accompanied on piano by Austin Cook, some standouts included selections from Passion, Finian's Rainbow and One Touch Of Venus, songs from Oklahoma, Carousel, Grey Gardens and Kiss Me, Kate, and songs by Joni Mitchell, Randy Newman & James Taylor. Melissa & Ryan ended the show ended with a magnificent rendition of Michel Legrand's beloved Windmills of Your Mind.

Melissa is currently starring in Irish Rep's hit and extended production of On A Clear Day You Can See Forever and is about to release a new album this November of the music of Stephen Sondheim (Ghostlight Records/Warner Music Group). She will be offering Sondheim concerts in September at The Ravinia Festival and at Feinstein's/54 Below in November.
