Broadway stars Liz Larsen and Sal Viviano will help celebrate the Monument Arts & Cultural Center’s second annual gala with their cabaret show, “Two for the Road.” The “Let Us Entertain You” Gala, which takes place from 4 to 7 p.m. May 18 at the MAC Center in Bennington, will also feature local entertainers, an auction and raffle, inventive hors d’oeuvres by Carolina Thatch Catering, and a variety of libations and charcuterie from the South Shire Inn. The husband-and-wife team of Liz Larsen and Sal Viviano boasts Tony, Drama Desk, Broadway World, and Helen Hayes awards, plus an Outer Critics Circle nomination and more. “Two for the Road” weaves stories and songs in an often funny, always lively musical journey of their lives on the Broadway stage. Jimmy Roberts will accompany the couple on piano. He is perhaps best known for composing the score to I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (recently staged at the MAC Center), which is the second-longest-running off-Broadway musical. Tickets are $150 if purchased before May 9; after that date, tickets are $190. They are available at https://www.monumentcentervt.org/gala.
Monument Arts & Cultural Center is at 44 Gypsy Lane, Bennington, VT.
