Why We Work Out is a highly physical and immersive solo performance by actor and playwright Anita Majumdar, commissioned and in development with Nightswimming, and directed by Brian Quirt. The work weaves together rigorous practice, Hindu mythology, classical Indian dance, and Indian pop culture as Majumdar looks back at her various past training regimes. The production is co-presented with Boca del Lupo.
