The Frontliners is a comedic drama set in early 2016 at an East Vancouver hotel, where three overwhelmed employees strive to help new Syrian families find homes amidst a housing crisis. This production highlights the challenges and humor encountered during a turbulent time, showcasing stories that bring light to the struggles of integration and community support. Written by Zahida Rahemtulla, it is a collaboration between Blackout Theatre, Firehall Arts Centre, and Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre.

March 31, 2025 The Firehall Arts Centre, in partnership with Blackout Art Society and Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre (vAct), will produce and present the world premiere of The Frontliners from Thursday, May 1st to Sunday, May 11th, 2025.
