The Museum of Anthropology at UBC will host the world premiere of Entangled Territories: Tibet Through Images from November 20, 2025, to March 29, 2026. Curated by Dr. Fuyubi Nakamura, this bilingual exhibition highlights the rich cultural heritage of Tibet as interpreted by the Tibetan-Canadian community, reflecting on the challenges of preserving their identity amid ongoing territorial loss. Featuring historic artifacts alongside contemporary works from Tibetan-Canadian artists Lodoe Laura and Kunsang Kyirong, the exhibition will explore themes of ancestry, identity, and the complex realities of life in diaspora. It aims to foster dialogue on the cultural and political landscape surrounding Tibet today.
