The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra USA closes the 2025/26 season with Dvořák's New World Symphony, featuring performances on May 30 and 31, 2026 at Skyview Concert Hall. Under the baton of Music Director and Conductor Salvador Brotons, the program opens with John Adams' The Chairman Dances, a foxtrot for orchestra drawn from his opera Nixon in China. Violinist Inés Issel Burzyńska then takes the stage for Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 2, followed by Dvořák's Symphony No. 9, From the New World, a work inspired by Native American and African American spirituals, woven together with German symphonic tradition and Bohemian folk music.
