Balanchine's Apollo & Other Works at Vancouver Playhouse

Ballet Vancouver opens its inaugural season with a triple bill featuring Balanchine's Apollo, the Black Swan Pas de Deux from Swan Lake, and the Canadian premiere of Jorma Elo's Slice to Sharp. The program stars Principal dancers Heather Ogden of The National Ballet of Canada, and Sasha de Sola and Francesco Gabriele Frola of San Francisco Ballet, alongside company members including Jonatan Lujan, Stephanie Petersen, Amanda Solheim, and Paula Cobo Botello. Apollo is staged by Peter Boal of Pacific Northwest Ballet and has not been performed in Vancouver in nearly four decades. Pre-show talks featuring artists and choreographers will precede all three performances.
