LOVE
by Alexander Zeldin
????? ‘Gripping, amusing, uncomfortable, desperately moving.’ The Times
In the run-up to Christmas, three families are placed into cramped temporary accommodation. A middle-aged man and his elderly mum, a young family with a baby on the way, a newly arrived woman from Sudan. Strangers. Forced together. No space is personal.
In an intimate story of family love for our times, writer and director Alexander Zeldin (BEYOND CARING) continues his unique approach to theatre with this engaging new play. Described by the Evening Standard as ‘the National Theatre’s play of the year’ in 2017, this heart-breaking production shines the spotlight on ‘the dehumanising reality of being homeless’ (Financial Times).
