The Tulsa Performing Arts Center presents A LESSON BEFORE DYING, based on Ernest J. Gaines acclaimed novel, May 6-7, 12-14 at 8 p.m. and May 8 at 2 p.m. at the John H. Williams Theatre.
This play is set in 1948 in backwoods Louisiana, where an innocent young black man awaits execution. A schoolteacher, trying to teach him to die like a man, learns an important lesson himself.
This play is recommended for age 13 and up.
