Theatre Tulsa Presents KINKY BOOTS

Theatre Tulsa will presentthe Tony Award-winning musical, "Kinky Boots." With music and lyrics by Grammy and Tony-winning artist Cyndi Lauper, and a book by Harvey Fierstein, the show promises an unforgettable experience for all ages.

From April 29 to May 7, Theatre Tulsa will bring the inspiring and heartwarming tale of "Kinky Boots" to the Williams stage of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. Based on the 2005 British film of the same name, the musical tells the story of Charlie Price, who inherits his father's struggling shoe factory. With the help of a fabulous drag queen named Lola, Charlie must find a way to save the business by creating a unique line of custom footwear.

"Kinky Boots" has been a global sensation since its Broadway debut in 2013, winning six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Choreography. The show has also enjoyed successful runs in London's West End, as well as national and international tours. Theatre Tulsa's production will feature a talented local cast, showcasing the spirit and diversity of the Tulsa community.

At its core, "Kinky Boots" is a story about finding your passion, overcoming prejudice, and embracing the transformative power of friendship. With its catchy tunes, dazzling choreography, and powerful message, this production is sure to leave audiences feeling inspired and uplifted.

Performances will be April 28 through May 7 in the Williams Theatre of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.
