De longlist is onthuld voor de BAFTA Film Awards van 2026, die de films bevat die doorgaan naar de nominatiefase van de stemming. In totaal werden 221 films ingediend voor overweging.
Wicked staat vermeld in 8 categorieën, met Cynthia Erivo en Ariana Grande die meedingen voor hun rollen, samen met nominaties voor kostuumontwerp, make-up en haar, originele muziek, productieontwerp, visuele effecten en geluid. Hamnet, Chloé Zhao's film over William (Paul Mescal) en Agnes (Jessie Buckley) Shakespeare in de 16e eeuw, kreeg vermeldingen in 16 categorieën, waaronder Beste Film, Regisseur, Aangepast Scenario, en acteerodes voor Jessie Buckley, Paul Mescal, en Emily Watson.

Ronde Twee van de stemming, om de nominaties te bepalen, is geopend op vrijdag 9 januari om 16.00 GMT voor BAFTA-leden en sluit op dinsdag 20 januari 2026 om 18:00 GMT. De nominaties voor de 2026 EE BAFTA Film Awards worden bekendgemaakt op dinsdag 27 januari, en de ceremonie vindt plaats op zondag 22 februari.
