In occasione del suo 10° anniversario, il musical di Broadway Waitress ha svelato il cast completo per il tour nordamericano 2026–27. Con una colonna sonora della cantante e cantautrice vincitrice di un Grammy Sara Bareilles, il tour prenderà il via con le prove tecniche a Owensboro, KY, presso il Riverpark Center, per poi proseguire in oltre 40 città, tra cui Austin, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia e Washington, DC.
A guidare il cast è Samantha Lane Scruggs nel ruolo di Jenna Hunterson, Hannah-Kathryn Wall come Becky, Becky Alex nel ruolo di Dawn, Connor Lewis come Dr. Pomatter, Jason Whitton come Cal, Patrick Cogan come Joe, Davey Fried come Ogie e Anthony Cataldo come Earl.
Completano il cast Kyle Channell, Tamara Daly, Hannah Ellowitz, Makaira Fisk, Amanda Handegan, Evan Kupersmith, Mikey Marmann, Angelina Nazario, Sabin Shrestha, Ana Viveros e J’Khalil.
Incontriamo Jenna, una cameriera ed esperta di torte che sogna di uscire dalla sua piccola città e da un matrimonio turbolento. Versando il suo cuore nelle torte, crea dessert che riflettono la sua vita altalenante come “The Key (Lime) to Happiness Pie” e “Betrayed By My Eggs Pie.” Quando un concorso di pasticceria in una contea vicina – e un incontro piacevole con qualcuno di nuovo – offrono a Jenna una possibilità di ricominciare, dovrà trovare il coraggio di coglierla. Il cambiamento è nel menu, a patto che Jenna riesca a scrivere la sua personale e perfetta ricetta per la felicità.
