CHESS ouvre à Broadway dimanche soir, et en prévision de sa première performance officielle, la production a diffusé des photos et des vidéos officielles pour offrir au public un aperçu de cette reprise riche en stars.
Aaron Tveit (Moulin Rouge!), Lea Michele (Funny Girl) et Nicholas Christopher (Sweeney Todd) mènent la distribution, rejoints par Hannah Cruz (Suffs), Bradley Dean (Le Fantôme de l'Opéra), Sean Allan Krill (Jagged Little Pill) dans le rôle de Walter, et Bryce Pinkham (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder) dans des rôles en vedette.
L'ensemble comprend Kyla Louise Bartholomeusz, Daniel Beeman, Shavey Brown, Emma Degerstedt, Casey Garvin, Adam Halpin, Sarah Michele Lindsey, Michael Milkanin, Aleksandr Ivan Pevec, Aliah James, Sydney Jones, Sean MacLaughlin, Sarah Meahl, Ramone Nelson, Fredric Rodriguez Odgaard, Michael Olaribigbe, Katerina Papacostas, Samantha Pollino, Regine Sophia et Katie Webber.
La production présente un livret retravaillé par Danny Strong, avec de la musique de Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus et Tim Rice.
