WICKED: FOR GOOD se destaca en la lista corta de los Oscar en 7 categorías

La Academia de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas ha anunciado las listas de preselección en 12 categorías para los 98º Premios de la Academia. Estas películas han sido reconocidas por los votantes en las rondas preliminares de votación, que se reducirán cuando la votación final tenga lugar en enero.

Las categorías son Cortometraje Animado, Reparto, Fotografía, Largometraje Documental, Cortometraje Documental, Largometraje Internacional, Cortometraje de Acción Real, Maquillaje y Peinado, Música (Partitura Original), Música (Canción Original), Sonido y Efectos Visuales.

Wicked: For Good hizo la preselección para Reparto, Fotografía, Maquillaje y Peinado, Partitura Original, Canción Original (dos veces), Sonido y Efectos Visuales. Estas fueron todas las categorías en las que la película era elegible. La primera película recibió un total de 10 nominaciones al Premio de la Academia en los Oscars 2025, ganando Mejor Diseño de Vestuario y Mejor Diseño de Producción.

Otros títulos notables preseleccionados incluyen Hamnet, Song Sung Blue, Frankenstein, Sinners y One Battle After Another.

La votación de las nominaciones comienza el lunes 12 de enero de 2026 y concluye el viernes 16 de enero de 2026. Las nominaciones para los 98º Premios de la Academia se anunciarán el jueves 22 de enero de 2026. Los 98º Oscars se celebrarán el domingo 15 de marzo de 2026 en el Teatro Dolby en Ovation Hollywood y serán televisados en vivo por ABC y en más de 200 territorios en todo el mundo.

Veinticuatro categorías serán premiadas en los 98º Oscars. Cada categoría tiene cinco nominados, excepto por Mejor Película, que tiene 10. Las nominaciones para Mejor Película son determinadas por los miembros elegibles de las 19 ramas de la Academia.
