WICKED: FOR GOOD Destacado na Pré-seleção do Oscar em 7 Categorias

A Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas anunciou listas curtas em 12 categorias para o 98º Oscar. Esses filmes foram reconhecidos pelos eleitores nas rodadas preliminares de votação, que serão reduzidas quando a votação final ocorrer em janeiro.

As categorias são: Filme Curta-Metragem de Animação, Elenco, Direção de Fotografia, Documentário Longa-Metragem, Documentário Curta-Metragem, Filme Internacional, Filme Curta-Metragem em Live Action, Maquiagem e Cabelos, Música (Trilha Sonora Original), Música (Canção Original), Som e Efeitos Visuais.

Wicked: For Good foi incluído na lista curta para Elenco, Direção de Fotografia, Maquiagem e Cabelos, Trilha Sonora Original, Canção Original (duas vezes), Som e Efeitos Visuais. Estas eram todas as categorias em que o filme era elegível. O primeiro filme recebeu 10 indicações ao Oscar em 2025, vencendo Melhor Figurino e Melhor Direção de Arte.

Outros títulos notáveis incluídos nas listas curtas são Hamnet, Song Sung Blue, Frankenstein, Sinners e One Battle After Another.

A votação para as indicações começa na segunda-feira, 12 de janeiro de 2026, e termina na sexta-feira, 16 de janeiro de 2026. As indicações para o 98º Oscar serão anunciadas na quinta-feira, 22 de janeiro de 2026. O 98º Oscar será realizado no domingo, 15 de março de 2026, no Teatro Dolby no Ovation Hollywood e será transmitido ao vivo pela ABC e em mais de 200 territórios mundialmente.

Vinte e quatro categorias serão premiadas no 98º Oscar. Cada categoria tem cinco indicados, exceto Melhor Filme, que tem 10. As indicações para Melhor Filme são determinadas por membros elegíveis de todos os 19 ramos da Academia.
