The Christmas Market, a world premiere written by Kanika Ambrose and directed by Philip Akin, will be staged at Crow's Theatre from November 4 to 30. The play follows three Caribbean migrant workers on an Ontario farm as they navigate the challenges of belonging in a foreign land, forming bonds of friendship amidst the difficulties of their first Canadian winter. Featuring performances by Matthew G. Brown, Danté Prince, Savion Roach, and Brenda Robins, this production explores themes of community resilience, hope, and the true spirit of the holiday season. Ambrose's writing seamlessly intertwines humor and poignant narratives in a reflection of the diversity within holiday traditions.
