Spotlight at The Second City at The Second City

Spotlight at The Second City is a new series, hosted and produced by Taylor Hreljac and Gabe Meacher, that presents sketch comedy’s best troupes in their best light. To kick off this monthly series, Spotlight at The Second City will feature award winning comedy troupes Potato Potato and Small Friend Tall Friend on September 2-3, 2025 at The Second City’s Theatre ‘73.

Each month Spotlight at The Second City will feature two celebrated troupes performing polished 30 minute sets for a two show run. The Second City Toronto will open its doors to the next generation of sketch for audiences to enjoy a double-header sketch show: two acts, one amazing night of fresh comedy.

Part political satire, part sketch show, and with a generous dose of dread: Potato Potato @ Second City is a brand new show. Small Friend Tall Friend brings sketches and songs that are all about pop culture, identity politics, and being in your 20s.
