The Canadian Stage Company's Festival of Ideas & Creation returns May 10 - 22 to the Berkeley Street Theatre, 26 Berkeley Street, Toronto. The festival features public readings and workshops of new works by established and emerging artists from Canada and abroad and includes public forums, backstage tours, industry workshops and master classes.

Festival Director Natasha Mytnowych is currently accepting artist submissions for the 2010 Festival. Deadline for submissions is Monday, March 5 at 5 pm. For information, go to canadianstage.com/festival or call 416-860-4685.

The Festival of Ideas & Creation offers audiences the opportunity to explore theatre behind the scenes and participate in the creative process. Established in 2006, The Festival of Ideas & Creation is The Canadian Stage Company's flagship event promoting the development of artists and new works. It brings together local, national and International Artists to spark new creative projects, encourages cross-pollination between artistic disciplines, supports established artists and fosters the next generation of artistic innovators. Past artists have included multi-award-winning playwrights Edward Albee, William Finn, Judith Thompson and Daniel MacIvor among others.
