Ebenezer Scrooge doesnt want to celebrate Christmas, he just wants to work. While his dedication may be admirable to some, his disconnect from humanity is troubling. He doesnt want to be with family, cut borrowers a break for the holiday season or give his only worker the day off. These arent Scrooges problems to solve, just his to put up with. Enter the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future who are determined to bring back Scrooges empathy for his fellow human beings. The classic Charles Dickens novel A Christmas Carol sees new life in Patrick Barlows (The 39 Steps) theatrical version of the classic. Some of the actors featured in this production are members of the Hillberry Graduate Program at Wayne State University.
